Ed Dula - Founder Dula Racing
Suspension

Our Father Ed Dula, was born right
here in Las Vegas, NV, Sept 25, 1947. He married our mom
Cheryl, on May 2, 1975 in Pioche, Nv. Going into the
marriage Dad had a son and a daughter, and mom had a
daughter and two sons of her own, making a grand total
of nine. The four Dula boys from their marriage are
Jason, Bryan, Jordan and Jeremy. Ed was the founder of
Dula Racing Suspension in 2001.
His honesty and dedication to motocross made him one of
a kind. He went out of his way for every customer.
Seeing the smile on their face when he was done with
their suspension gave him all the happiness in the
world. He loved this business and loved making people
happy. His youngest sons, Jordan and Jeremy, identical
twins, born March 18, 1981, began motocross when they
were sixteen. Being with them for all their experiences
was a very happy journey for Dad, to say the least. They
picked up on motocross very fast and are gifted riders.
Dad and Mom supported them completely. Dad would do
everything in his power to get them to the track no
matter how much it cost or work that was involved. They
are very competitive with each other, but that’s what
made it fun, to see them challenge one another.
Dad was an operating engineer for 34 yrs and also a
mechanic. The man could fix anything! When the boys
started racing, he was also their mechanic and would fix
everything from their motors to their suspension. He
really started getting into the suspension work when he
found out just how important it really was. Everyone
thinks it’s about speed, but its not. You can't go fast
without the suspension working properly. As soon as he
started doing the suspension on Jordan and Jeremy’s
bikes, their lap times decreased by 5-6 seconds. They
were getting faster and faster. Dad decided to go to the
Race Tech school in California and learn more about it.
When he got back I will never forget the look on his
face. He said; "I got it all now ". He was so sure of
himself and knew he could improve the suspension
industry, and boy he really did! He decided to turn it
into a business in 2001 wanting to share his knowledge
with all the riders to make their bikes handle better
and improve their lap times. He made sure every customer
was satisfied and wasn’t happy until they had that big
smile on their face. That's what made it all worthwhile
to him! It was never about getting rich. He just wanted
to please everyone. Dad was just breaking the ice with
his suspension work before he passed away of natural
causes on Oct 2, 2003. Of course, we were all
devastated!
If you didn’t get a chance to meet him or have him work
on your bike, we are terribly sorry. He was a great
person, friend and most of all a great Dad! He would do
anything for anybody and so will we. He left us with
this business and we plan on giving everyone what he
gave, and that’s, concern for the rider, honesty and
customer satisfaction. We will try our best in every way
to make his dream live on!
